We are pleased to welcome our latest recruit, Danny. He joined the MAP Mechanical team last month due to continued growth in both our domestic and commercial sectors.

How long have you been in the plumbing/heating industry?
I’ve been in the industry for 19 years. I started my apprenticeship when I was 16.

Why did you apply for the role at MAP?
I wanted to work for a forward-thinking company that would help me develop my career. When I saw the vacancy and the opportunity to gain my commercial gas qualification I jumped at the chance.

Tea or coffee?
I like a coffee first thing in the morning to wake me up and then a tea to keep me going!

Perks of the job?
I really enjoy working with the team at MAP – they’re a decent set of lads. The firm is keen on promoting further education and I’m particularly interested in taking my commercial gas qualifications.

What are your usual working hours?
My contracted hours are 40 hours per week but there is always overtime available which is great.

What does a typical day look like for you?
There is no typical day working for MAP. Every day is different as we cover so many aspects of the plumbing and heating industry for both domestic customers and commercial customers.

What do you enjoy doing the most?
Driving home haha!

Is there a least favourite task in your role?
I’m happy to do anything – work is work and I’m willing to do whatever needs to be done.
