We are looking to recruit a full-time Business Administrator.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, flexible, friendly and professional. The successful applicant will be expected to work on their own and within a team. Working closely with the Estimator, Director and the workforce of Engineers, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all callers to the business by telephone or face-to-face.

The role is busy, varied and will require strong attention to detail and the ability to change priorities at short notice.

The requirement of the role is:

  • To answer the telephone and field calls to the relevant person or taken detailed messages when appropriate.
  • Record jobs and allocate job numbers ensuring all details of the caller and the job is recorded with accuracy and capturing all the data required.
  • Inputting and using email, spreasheets, word, internet usage, etc. There will be a requirement to input into Xero but full training will be given.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers and colleagues with any requests and ensure they are dealt with accordingly.
  • Process Engineer timesheets, collate information and produce reports.
  • Create documents as requested.
  • Ensure all Engineer document levels are kept at a consistent level.
  • Deal with any customer service queries.
  • Process gas certificates and keep records of when they are complete and due.
  • Filing hard copy and computerised documents.
  • Setting up customer files hard copy and computerised.
  • Any other administrative duties as required.


Applicants should have previous experience of managing a busy administrative office and be able to demonstrate an excellent level of keyboard skills, a good working knowledge of computer packages such as Microsoft Office is essential.
